about kelly maddern
When I was in high school, I thought I would go on to be a journalist as my life career. I spent all of my time in English, grammar, photography and writing classes.
When I started college, I majored in Journalism and minored in Criminal Justice. But as the year went on, I found it very hard to keep an interest in my classes. I worked at the University Bookstore on campus, and there I was able to let my creativity flow while I made displays and signs. A woman that I worked with told me that I should be a graphic designer. I didn't have a clue what she was talking about, as I didn't know much about computers. I didn't even have an email account.
After that year, I took a year off of school to get my thoughts together about what I really wanted to do. The woman's idea of being a designer stuck with me, so I ended up going back to school for Graphic Design. I thought I was a little crazy since I knew nothing about computers, but I did it anyway.
It was immediately evident upon starting at the new school that I had made a good move. I loved everything I worked on and enjoyed going to class. Came to find out that computers and I were going to get along just fine.
Since school, I've worked at a large variety of companies and I've gained a lot of skills. I've also discovered that I am a huge computer nerd. I love to learn about technology and challenge myself with it. I am continually discovering and learning new tools and methods. My curiosity and inability to ever sit still has allowed me to build a large list of services that I can now bring to you to help you with your business or personal projects.
